A strong St. Louis economy starts with talent — developing it here, keeping it here, and attracting more of it to our region. That means creating clear pathways from education to meaningful careers while ensuring employers have access to the qualified, prepared workforce they need to grow.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked to strengthen that connection between education and opportunity. That includes helping establish a dedicated School of Engineering at UMSL, giving students access to an affordable, high-quality education while preparing more local talent for high-demand careers.
The goal is bigger than any one program. It’s to make St. Louis known as a place where people can gain valuable skills, build great careers, and put down roots — and where employers know they can find the talent they need to compete.
